Paris Attacks: Muslim Scholars Quick to Condemn
Haṣan Somali, a Muslim Imām in Philadelphia, USA, had this to say in regards to Muslims zeroing in on "conspiracy theories" in the immediate aftermath of the choreographed Paris terrorist attacks:
When terrorist attacks occur, such as the massacre that took place in Paris yesterday at the hands of those bloodthirsty maniacs, we find our scholars unequivocally condemning them and those responsible.
We must be wise in how we address such sensitive issues, as discussing conspiracy theories at times like this could be perceived as being sympathetic to the cause of these fanatics or making excuses for them.
Like 'Umar (the companion of Muḥammad (peace and blessings be upon him)) and khalifah (leader) of the Muslims stated:
“Verily, during the time of the Messenger of Allah, (peace and blessings be upon him) the people were judged according to revelation, but the revelation has surely ceased. So now we judge you according to what is manifest from your actions. Whoever shows us good, we will trust him and favor him, and it is not for us to judge what he conceals inwardly, for Allah will bring him to account for this. Whoever shows us evil, then we will not trust him nor believe him, even if he claims his intention is good.” Bukharī no. 2641
As Ibn Al-Qayyim (a famous scholar of the 8th century after the migration of Muḥammad (peace and blessings be upon him)) stated:
"Wisdom is to do the correct thing at the correct time in the correct way."
The praise is for Allāh, our brothers in the West (from the Salafī callers and lecturers) who have years of experience addressing similar issues have conveyed the stances and condemnations of the (Salafī) scholars.
All a person has to do is convey these articles or recordings to the non-Muslims, especially if they are unable to clearly explain the truth in their own words.
We ask Allāh, the Lord of the Worlds, to bring justice to this horrific situation, to recompense those who committed these murders with what they deserve, to bring those still at large to justice, and to rid the earth of these evil, treacherous, murderous lunatics, who do nothing but bring harm and corruption to the world.
